Sabangan Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas

Our Big Family went on a weekend trip to the beach! It was well worth the trip, and a good respite from school, work, ballet recitals and everything. Des and I brought our 5 kids and yaya Gemma.

We went to Sabangan Beach Resort  in Laiya, Batangas. Taking the Ibaan exit on STAR Tollway gets you there in 4 hours coming from Antipolo. But we found a closer route via Lipa which cuts the time by a whole hour.

It is a nice and cozy resort with bungalows and two-story houses good for a total of 100 guests at a time. When we were there it was fully booked, and there was still enough space for everyone – it didn’t feel crowded, the areas had a lot of space, and we had no problems with the kids running around and playing.

There is a nice pool where you can lounge, a playground for the kids and a nice clear beachfront. The water in the beach was clear and cool, with no seaweed tangling your feet or corals cutting them.

The food was Pinoy fare, and the coffee – Kape Barako – was so good! There are a variety of water sports on the beach, but we stuck to playing on the sand and a quick boat ride. The rooms were clean and very comfortable.

We had a really awesome time at Sabangan! And being invited to be ambassadors for the Resort was easily a YES for us. The kids had an amazing time there, though two days was just too short. We definitely will be back!
