This year we celebrate the 20th year of the family ministries of CFC FFL! And last night we had the biggest party for it at AFP theater. I have been in the CFC community since the start by virtue of birth, but I officially joined in 1995 through a youth camp when I was 20 years old. I went “super active” in 1997 after I graduated college and went on to become a missionary, all the way until now.
Being in the family ministries has challenged me, stretched me, stressed me, empowered me and inspired me. I have kept my idealism (which they say disappears over time) until now – 38 years old – because of my working with the young and the young at heart.
It was good to remember. Because in remembering we see what has been important over the years – care for one another and focus on God. Thank you Lord for the 20 years! I am so thankful my children have the same community that I had growing up. I know they have people to run to, even during the hardest of days. Happy anniversary family ministries! Happy anniversary CFC FFL!
Truly, FAITH ON FIRE!
