Social Media Ranking of the 79 Party List Groups: March 2013

Ok, so I got curious to see how popular the 79 party-list groups are. And if they actually have a presence in social media. I’d be wary if they didn’t. So here are who I found. Let’s see if this translates in the elections. Though I doubt it due to the nature of party list and how people don’t really understand nor fully embrace the concept yet.

Interesting to see Kabataan, PBA (of course, people must think it is the official Twitter account of the PBA, as in basketball) and Ang Nars in the top 3. Are nurses really marginalized and under-represented? For that matter, why are there ethnic groups? Aren’t Congressmen elected by District? So Warays are represented by the Congressmen from Samar and Leyte, right?

So many warning bells when researching this. I just hope people really research before voting. And don’t check shade any box. I’ll post the links next month when we update.
